PI2MEP relais station Meppel

Begin 2002 I joined the crew of relay stations Meppel. The 70cm repeater PI2MEP which was functionalvfor years consisted of 2 MC80 radio’s and an eurocard with logic as a repeater controller.

The repeater was located in a fab where access was not very easy compared to Heerenveen, we wanted to prepare an RS9044 as spare repeater but the original station remained on air.

At the end of 2010, PI2MEP was removed from the fab. It was not sure if the location would stay available, there were even thoughts that maybe the building might be broken down.

At the beginning of 2011 the RS9044 of Meppel is active, until now (august 2012) also merged in the Coversity project.
